VR Studios
incorporates a wide variety of software development
architectures into the development of its products.
A large number of webs have been developed using PHP.
To get a sampling of the power of PHP, you can test
the Nutrient Finder
tool.
- To find out more about the Nutrient Finder product,
go to www.NutrientFinder.com.
Based on the USDA nutrient database SR16-1, Nutrient
Finder provides an intuitive interface to access nutrient
values for over 6,600 commonly used raw, natural,
and packaged foods. The USDA provides the database
as a service at the Nutrient
Data Labratory along with links to various other
documents regarding health and nutrition.
JAVA is another web software application environment
that is getting a lot of attention at VR Studios.
There are examples of both Applets and Servlets that
are available to try out. JAVA development is
getting a lot of attention lately due to its robust
server side opportunities. Try out the Astrology
Tool applet as an example!
At VR Studios, we have extensive knowledge and experience
in building applications using the Microsoft Visual
Basic application architecture. Over the years
we have built very large scale applications using a
combination of Visual Basic, Visual C++, SQL Server,
HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Many of these products
included development tools that were used to convert
Microsoft Excel, Word, or plain text results to HTML
format. Additionally, many large scale webs have
been generated from databases using Visual Basic.
Try out the Nutrient
Finder product to test out one of our Visual Basic
products.
Recently, all of the development at VR Studios has
been target towards the JAVA application architecture,
and we are currently in the process of converting many
of the data conversion tools from Visual Basic to JAVA.
The Nutrient Finder Applet
is an example of some of this conversion work.
The goal of all this is to develop a number of JAVA
Servlets that will be available to both JSP pages and
to JAVA Applets.

want to be informed when new tools have been added to
